GORDON DALE JOHNSON, 86 died December 31, 2015 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. He was born on May 20, 1929 in Leonardville, KS, the son of Herbert and Mary (Hanson) Johnson. Gordon was born and raised in Leonardville, KS. He graduated from Leonardville High School and in 1952 graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Architectual Engineering. Gordon married Gretta Davidson on in 1954. He served in the US Army as a combat engineer during the Korean War. Following the war, Gordan began working for Burns and McDonald Engineering firm in Kansas City. His work took the family to Madison, WI and Denver, CO before returning to Overland Park, KS following Gretta's death in 2009. Gordon was a member of the Heritage United Methodist Church in Overland Park. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Verna Wiard and Maxine Porter, brother, Richard Johnson and grandson, Warren Johnson

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Clay Center United Methodist Church in Clay Center, KS
Officiating the service will be Pastor Ryan Lynch
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS
