Harold Alexander

HAROLD EUGENE ALEXANDER died May 1, 2013 at Leonardville Nursing Home, Leonardville, KS at the age of 84. He was born on February 9, 1929 in Green, Kansas the son of Lewis and Maggie (Wachsnicht) Alexander. Harold was born and raised in Green, Kansas and graduated from Green High School in 1947. He was a Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He married Arlyss Harrington on March 4, 1973 and she survives of the home. Harold was a farmer and stockman in the Green community all his life. He was a member of the Green United Methodist Church. Survivors include: Wife: Arlyss Alexander, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Audrey and husband Paul Williams, Wamego, KS Daughter: Angie and husband Justin Gilpin, Emporia, KS Daughter: Amy and husband Brian Mellies, Phillips, NE 4 grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Gale Lund. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2nd from 3:00 to 8:00pm with family greeting friends from 7:00 to 8:00. Memorials can be made to the Green Methodist Church or Meadowlark Hospice c/o the funeral home
