Hazel Griffiths

HAZEL GRIFFITHS, 96 died November 10, 2014 at Smokey Valley Rehabilitation Center in Salina, Kansas . She was born on December 1, 1917 in Clay County, KS. The daughter of John and Barbara (Beverly) Welch. Hazel was raised in the Idana and Miltonvale areas. She married Wilbur Griffiths on July 9, 1937. They farmed west of Clay Center and then in the Parallel community. Wilbur preceded her in death on January 24, 1979. Hazel moved to Salina in 1988. She is also preceded in death by parents, 5 sisters and 4 brothers. Survivors: Daughter: LeAnn Berry, Salina, KS Daughter: Violet and husband Ron Kolle, Salina, KS Daughter: Barbara and husband Roger Savery, Salina, KS 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great-grandson Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:30 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS. There will be no visitation.
