HELEN IRENE DAVIS died October 20, 2013 at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson, KS at the age of 86. HELEN IRENE DAVIS was born on August 9, 1927 in Clay County Kansas, the daughter of Albert Siebold and Vena Palmateer. Helen was raised in the Fact Community. She married Ahart Reed in 1946 and the later divorced. She owned and operated in Leonardville, KS. She married Robert Dale Davis on December 11, 1964 in Manhattan, KS and he preceded her on June 6, 2002. She moved to Clay Center in 1955 and owned and operated Southside and Reed's Cafe. She moved to Morganville, KS and owned and operated Bob's Cafe until she retired in 1989. She moved to Hutchinson in 2000. She is also preceded by at daughter, Karen Ann Reed, a grandson Lucas Carlson Reed, 4 brothers, Wilbur, Warren, Floyd and Franklin Siebold, 5 sisters, Margaret Poindexter, Pauline Coltharp, Wilma Dennis, Pat Boman and Alberta Dageford Gregory. Survivors include: Daughter: Sharon and husband Rick Cooper, Hutchinson, KS Son: Bruce Reed, Riley, KS Sister: Mary McDonald Fowler, Leonardville, KS Grandchildren: Sharie Stewart, Logan Cooper and Brady Reed Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Burial will be at the Morganville Cemetery, Morganville, Kansas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 23 from 3-8pm with family greeting friends from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
