Helen Muriel Schwab

HELEN SCHWAB died February 8, 2010 at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS at the age of 105. She was born on July 28, 1904 in Leharp, Illinois the daughter of Lewis and Mildred (Lantz).Reed. She attended school in Morganville, Helen married William Schwab on December 13, 1922. They farmed north of Morganville. In 1960 they moved to Morganville. William preceded her in death on May 1, 1976. She was a member of the Morganville United Methodist Church, Sherman Club, and Morganville Senior Citizens. Helen is also preceded by a son Lafe, 2 daughters, Elaine Hahn and Rachel Rife, 3 brothers and a sister. Survivors include: Daughter: Muriel Jacobson, Clifton, KS Son: Billy and wife Eva Schwab, Clifton, KS Sister: Lucille Parmater, OR Daughter-in-Law: Vivian Schwab, Morganville, KS Son-in-Law: Ed Rife, Morganville, KS 14 Grandchildren, 32 Great-grandchildren, 19 Great-Great-grandchildren 1 Great-Great-Great-grandchild Private Funeral Services will be held. Officiating the service will be Pastor Gale Lund. Burial will be at the Sherman Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Park Villa Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.
