Howard Stanley Beals

HOWARD STANLEY BEALS died May 6, 2010 at , Ochelata, OK at the age of 87. He was born on March 11, 1923 in Lamar, KS the son of Enoch and Matilda (Rothfuss) Beals. Stanley was raised and attended school in Miltonvale. He helped his father on the farm and worked in the trucking business. Stanley joined the US Navy, serving in WWII. He married Betty Allen on March 2, 1952 in Oak Hill, she survives of the home. Stanley continued to drive a truck until his retirement in 1987. Stanley and Betty moved to Ochelata, OK in 2006 to be near family. He is preceded in death by a brother, Walter Beals, 5 sisters, Inez Comfort, Amy Pracht, Leah Simpson, Eva Boyer and Betty Lou Kramer and a son in law, Larry Ennis. Survivors include: Wife: Betty Beals, Ochelata, OK Daughter: Linda Koons, Ochelata, OK Daughter: Shirley Sledge, Phoenix, AZ Daughter: Barbara Lankford, Burley, ID Sister: Jackie Mandrell, Glendale, AZ 7 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Phelps Funeral Home in Miltonvale, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev Jim Koons, Sr. Burial will be at the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas. Memorials can be made to Clay Center Wesleyan Church c/o the funeral home
