Hulda Ohlde

HULDA OHLDE died May 26, 2013 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 86. She was born on November 4, 1926 in Washington County, KS the daughter of George and Anna (True) Laue. Hulda was raised in Washington County. She married Ernest Ohlde on October 29, 1944. They farmed south of Linn for many years. Hulda also worked as a nurse's aide at the Linn Nursing Home. They moved to Clay Center in 1988. Ernest preceded her in death on May 12, 2002. Hulda was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church near Palmer and a current member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center. She is also preceded in death by a son, Jon, a sister, Ruth Lohmeyer, a sister in law, Katherine Laue, and a brother in law Wilbert Lohmeyer. Survivors include: Daughter: Charlotte and husband Richard Voelker, Palmer, KS Son: Stan and wife Marlene Ohlde, Clay Center, KS Son: Scott Ohlde, Clay Center, KS Brother: Norbert Laue, Salina, KS Brother: Gerald Laue, Auburn, KS Brother: Harold Laue, Topeka, KS 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 1:30PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Hulda Ohlde memorial fund c/o the funeral home
