Ina Mae Watson, 97, died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Clay County Medical Center. She was born April 24, 1921 in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of Stanilaus and Anna (Collette) Gosselin. Ina Mae attended Cloud County grade schools and Concordia High School. She married Wilbur L. Watson on December 23, 1943 in Clyde, Kansas. The couple was married for over 60 years. She was a farmer’s wife and a mother. Wilbur preceded her in death on December 31, 2005. Ina Mae was a cook at Lamar school and Miltonvale schools for 14 years. She also worked as a correspondent for the Miltonvale Record and worked on the election board for many years. She was a past member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, St. Anthony’s Altar Society, Miltonvale V.F.W. Auxiliary, and the Miltonvale Young Farmer’s and Wives and Saddle Club. She was also a member of the Miltonvale, Concordia and Clay Center TOPS clubs and was a KOPS of long standing for 33 years. She is also preceded in death by son, Robert LeRoy Watson, foster child, Kenneth Paillet, one grandson, 4 brothers and 2 sisters, and a nephew, Dale Gosselin. Survivors: Daughter: Karen and husband, Leon Wilson, of Concordia, Kansas Daughter: Linda Gunter, of Clay Center, Kansas Son: Bobby and wife, Sue Paillet, of Miltonvale, Kansas 4 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grandson Several nieces and nephews Funeral Services: Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 10:30AM at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Miltonvale, Kansas Minister: Father Randall Weber Burial: Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas Visitation: will be from 4:00-6:00PM, Monday, April 30, 2018 at the Phelps Funeral Home in Miltonvale, Kansas, where the Rosary will be recited at 6:00PM Memorials: St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Alzheimer's Foundation, or to the American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home.
