Irene Marshall

IRENE MARSHALL died December 5, 2011 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 90. She was born on October 26, 1921 in Clay County Kansas, the daughter of Clarence Spellman and Lydia Klein. Irene was raised in Clay County and graduated from CCCHS in 1940. She married Robert Marshall on April 5, 1944, he survives of the home. Irene worked at Duckwalls and then as an assistant cashier for over 30 years at Union State Bank. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Cruiser Club, Miriam Circle, Garden Club, Cub Scout Den Leader and Girl Scout leader. Irene is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Earl and Dale Spellman Survivors include: Husband: Robert Marshall, Clay Center, KS Son: Doug and wife Vicki Marshall, Brookville, KS Daughter: Deeann and husband Larry Blattner, Dodge City, KS 5 Grandchildren & 9 Great-Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas . Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and the family will greet friends from 4:30-6 Memorials can be made to Clay Center First Presbyterian Church c/o the funeral home
