James C. Colton

JAMES C. COLTON died November 17, 2009 at Ottawa County Hospital, Minneapolis, KS at the age of 81. He was born on April 12, 1928 in Cloud County, Kansas the son of Victor and Florence (Bellows) Colton. He was raised in the Delphos, Kansas area. He was a WWII Navy veteran. He married Delma Jeane Heald in 1950 and she preceded him in 2007. He farmed all his life in the Miltonvale and Oak Hill communities. He was a member of the Chrisitan Church of Miltonvale, Kansas. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include: Son: Lon and wife Karen Colton, Oak Hill, KS Daughter: Glenda and husband Bob Strange, Garland , TX Sister: Althea and husband John Pellant, Russell, KS Sister: Margaret Louthan, Salina, KS Sister: Doris and husband Doyle Turner, Salina, KS Sister: Bernita and husband Dwight Lippe, Queen Creek, AZ Brother: Byron and wife Marcia Colton, Woodhull, IL Grandchildren: Daniel Colton, Manhattan, KS Mark Colton and fiancé Robyne Clark, Minneapolis, KS, Ethan Vinson, Concordia, KS Kayla Vinson, Oak Hill, KS Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the Christian Church in Miltonvale, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Mark Webb. Burial will be at the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22nd from 2:00 to 5:00pm at the Phelps Funeral Home Memorials can be made to Miltonvale Christian Church or Rebecca Morrison House of Salina
