Jean Mayer

ESTHER JEAN MAYER died June 17, 2008 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 93. She was born on January 30, 1915 in Montpelier, Idaho the daughter of Raymond Heikes and Edna Allgire. Jean was raised in Clay Center and graduated from Clay Center High School. She worked for Swift and Company and farmed with her husband in the Morganville Commuinty. She married Walter Hanson and he preceded her and then married Harold Mayer and he preceded her also. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Clay Center. She is also preceded by a son, Bruce Hanson, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include: Son: Max and wife Marsha Hanson, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 10:30 at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19 from 3-8pm at the funeral home . Memorials can be made to Jean Mayer memorial fund to be designated later by the family c/o funeral home.
