Jean Peterson

JEAN PETERSON died March 30, 2008 at 1008 Sherman, Clay Center, KS at the age of 82. She was born on August 29, 1925 in Clifton Kansas, the daughter of John Sauvain and Georgia Ostrander. She was raised in Clifton, KS and and Morganville, KS area. She graduated from Morganville High School in 1941. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Southwest Missouri State University. She married Virgil Peterson on June 17, 1946, they later divorced. She worked as an auditor for the State of Missouri. She was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church, St. Paul Lutheran Quilters and Red Cross. She is preceded in death by and infant son, 2 brothers and her parents. Survivors include: Daughter: Audrey and husband William Barnes, Wakefield, KS Son: Gerald and wife Sharon Peterson, Paola, KS Former Husband: Virgil Peterson, Green, KS Brother: Merrill and wife Phyllis Sauvain, Ellsworth, KS Grandchildren: 6 Grand and 7 Great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 1:30 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to St Paul Lutheran Church c/o the funeral home
