Jerry Rickley

JERRY RICKLEY died February 24, 2011 at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center, Topeka, KS at the age of 66. He was born on April 4, 1944 in Clay Center Kansas, the son of William Rickley and Josephine I. Sklenar. Jerry was raised in Clay Center and attended CCCHS. Jerry married Dianne Koch on March 24, 1964 and they later divorced. He married Patricia Wollenberg Behrends on February 4, 1989. She preceded him in death in 1998. Jerry served 11 1/2 years in the Kansas National Guard. He worked for the City of Clay Center Street Department for 20 years. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy E. Rickley and a step-son, Mark Behrends. Survivors include: Son: Craig and wife Dana Rickley, Clay Center, KS Son: Jay Rickley, Wichita, KS Son: Scott and wife Kris Rickley, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Tara and husband Deron Rosenow, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Susan and husband Larry Melton, Jr., Clay Center, KS Step-Son: Randall Behrends, Clay Center, KS Step-Son: Joel and wife Steffani Behrends, Olathe, KS Step-Daughter: Colleen Behrends, Ottawa, KS Step-Daughter: Barb and husband Jerry Brown, Abilene, KS Grandchildren: 11 grand and 7 Step Grand Sister: Jo Ann and husband Neill Hundley, Clay Center, KS Niece: Kathy and husband Brian Scott Nephew: Barton and wife Maury Jo Hundley Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro. A private, family inurnment will be held at a later date Visitation will be held 3-8PM Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from 4-6PM Memorials can be made to may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
