Jessie Bertsch

JESSIE GRACE BERTSCH died April 2, 2010 at Leonardville Nursing Home, Leonardville, KS at the age of 101. She was born on November 27, 1908 in Green, Kansas the daughter of J.B. “Ben” and Dora (Kiner) Moore. She was raised in the Green area and graduated from CCCHS. Jessie married Foster Bertsch on June 15, 1930. They made their home in the Green area before moving to Clay Center in 1938. She was amember of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Foster preceded her in death on February 19, 2005. Jessie is also preceded by 4 sisters. Survivors include: Daughter: Betty Sylvester, Clay Center, KS Son: Forrest Bertsch, Kansas City, MO Grandchildren: 5 Grand, 16 Great-grand & 1 Great-great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Grant Clay. Burial will be at the Brethren-in-Christ Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to the Evangelical Covenant Church c/o the funeral home.
