Joann (Tripp) Mall

JoAnn (Jo) Mall 86 of Gallatin passed away Wednesday, August 24th at the Daviess County Nursing and Rehab. Gallatin, MO. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Clay Center, Kansas. Cremation under the direction of McWilliams Funeral Home. JoAnn Mall was born October 29, 1929 in Clay Center, Kansas. Her parents were Luella Wolf Kendall Tripp and Floyd Kendall. Jo and Firman Mall met when Firman came home after serving in the Navy during World War II. They were married June 6, 1948, and were blessed with one son Gene. After Firman graduated from College the couple moved to Kansas City, KS where they lived for 32 years. While they were living in Kansas City, KS, JO started college when she was 31 years old. She graduated from the University of Kansas and she taught in the primary grades 17 years; she loved teaching the “little Guys.” Jo loved doing all kinds of handwork, quilting and painting. For several years she showed her crafts at craft shows. She also loved to play bridge. Firman and Jo were blessed to have 67 years of marriage. Jo leaves her son Gene Mall and wife Patty, also several in-laws, Roger Mall, Jacyln (Mall) Cochran, Lavila Mall and Darwin and Katie Mall. Graveside Memorial services will take place at 10:00AM, Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas.
