John Lewis Mcchesney

JOHN LEWIS MCCHESNEY, 76 died August 20, 2007 at his residence in Clay Center, KS. He was born March 20, 1931 in Clay Center Kansas, the son of Wilder "Slim" and Catherine (Marsh) McChesney. He was station in Malta while serving in the US Navy. He married Bonnie (Reed) Carlson on August 21, 1966 and she survives of the home. He farmed in the Bloom and Mulberry Townships in Clay County with his brother. He also worked as a Fertilizer Applicator for COOP of Clay Center. He was a member of Clifton American Legion and Past Exhaulted Ruler of the ELKS Lodge. He is preceded by a Granddaughter, Brooke Taylor and his parents. Survivors: Wife: Bonnie McChesney, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Pamela and husband Steve Graham, Clay Center, KS Brother: James McChesney, Morganville, KS Grandson: Brock and wife Jeana Taylor, Clay Center, KS Grandson: Tyler Taylor, Clay Center, KS Grandson: Chancelor Graham, Clay Center, KS Great Grandson: Paden Taylor, Clay Center, KS Step-Mother in Law: Arlene Reed, Clay Center, KS Brother-in-Law: Don and wife Twila Reed, Clay Center, KS Brother-in-Law: Larry Reed, Clay Center, KS Funeral Services: Friday,August 24, 2007 at 11:00am at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Minister: Father Larry Grennan Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Respect Calls: Thursday, August 23 from 3-8pm at the funeral home. Memorials: John McChesney Memorial Fund to be designated later by the family.
