John Mcdonald

John McDonald died February 17, 2008 at Presbyterian Manor, Clay Center, KS at the age of 90. John was born on November 10, 1917 in Clay Center, KS the son of Clarence and Emma (Pfizenmaier) McDonald. He was raised in the Fact Community in Clay County and attended Clay Center High School. He married Evelyn Marshall on August 24, 1940, she survives of the home. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He worked as a salesman for Mattingly Motors and Skinner Motor Company retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Fact Methodist Church, American Legion and VFW. Survivors include: Daughter: Joneen and husband Delbert Schoning, Olathe, KS 3 Grandchildren: Michael Schoning, Michelle Johnson, Melissa Schoning 5 Great Grandchildren: Lauren, Sara, and Brittany Schoning and Alec and Carson Johnson Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be . Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home Military Honors: Fort Riley Honor Guard Memorials can be made to the Presbyterian Manor in care of the funeral Home.
