John R Willms, Sr., 82 years died April 11, 2018 Wakefield, KS. He was born on June 7, 1935 in Sioux City, IA, the son of Frank and Daisy Britton Willms. John was raised in Akron, IA. He served in the US Army National Guard. John was a salesman and truck driver for Sam Saroff Food Distribution and Ancona Food Sales. He married Myrtle Stacey on July 24, 1977. John then drove trucks for Carlson Trucking and Ideal Trucking. Later, he operated weigh stations for the Kansas Highway Patrol until his retirement. Myrtle preceded him in death on June 6, 2016. John was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center and the Manhattan I.O.O.F.
