Jonathan Siemers

JONATHAN SIEMERS died February 21, 2010 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 44. He was born on September 30, 1965 in Hays, Kansas the son of Theodore and Beverly (Kincaid) Siemers. Jonathan was raised in Green River, Wyoming. He moved to Clay Center in 1981 and married Brenda Jensen on June 15, 1985. He began working for the Clay Center Street Department in 1987 and was a volunteer fireman starting in 1988. He joined the Clay Center Fire Department as a full time employee in 1997. Jonathan was promoted to Fire Chief on January 1, 2003. He served on the North Central Kansas Homeland Security Council, a member of KSFFA, Clay County Rescue Squad, and was the City Building Inspector. He retired from the Army National Guard with the rank of Sergeant First Class. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include : Wife: Brenda Siemers, Clay Center, KS Son: Daniel and wife Natasha Siemers, Clay Center, KS Son: Courtney Siemers, Clay Center, KS Son: Adam Siemers, Clay Center, KS Grandson: DJ Siemers, Clay Center, KS Brother: David Siemers, Waverly, KS Brother: Hank Siemers, Beloit, KS Sister: Deanna Hess, Clay Center, KS Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
