Josephine Steinbruck

JOSEPHINE STEINBRUCK died August 22, 2011 at Golden Livingcenter, Wakefield, KS at the age of 97. She was born on June 22, 1914 in Oak Hill Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Agnes (Heigle) Palmateer. Josephine was raised in Clay County and graduated from Clay Center High School. She took normal training and taught school before marrying Gaylord Steinbruck on July 11, 1937. They made their home and farmed in the Oak Hill community. Gaylord preceded her in death on December 30, 1995. Josephine was a member of the Oak Hill Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and bible classes. She is also preceded in death by a son, Ted, a daughter, Gaylene Frigon, 3 brothers and a sister. Survivors include: Daughter: Marcine and husband Don Hohman, Green, KS Son: Frederick Steinbruck, Longford, KS Brother: Robert Palmateer, Wichita, KS Brother: John Palmateer, Manhattan, KS Sister: Doris Palmateer, Wakefield, KS Grandchildren: 11 Grand, 16 Great-grand & 4 Great-Great-Grand Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Presbyterian Church in Oak Hill, Kansas . Officiating the service will be Pastor Gil Gillespie. Burial will be at the Rose Meron Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Meadowlark Hospice or Golden Livingcenter c/o the funeral home
