Julie Ann Jensen

Mrs. Julie Ann Jensen, age 56, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, KS. She was born April 13, 1962, in San Diego, California, to Terry Neil Turpening and Donna Stone. She married the love of her life Jimmy Jensen, on February 28, 2007, in Clay Center, KS.

Julie worked at Country Place Senior Living for the last eight years, as a med aide. Her selflessness of caring for others was admirable. Country Place was her home away from home and she cared dearly for her residents and co-workers. She was given the nickname of “Mother Hen” because of her caring nature. Julie loved being with family, cooking, fishing, and spoiling her dogs.

She leaves behind her children, Amber Reynolds (Ricky) of Lincolnton, NC., Kaytie Roughton (Jeremy) of Wichita, KS., Jeremy Jensen of Morganville, KS., Jamie Jensen of Clay Center, KS., four grandchildren Andrea Reynolds, Ricky Reynolds Jr., Logan Reynolds, Grayson Roughton, her sisters Kathy Walke of Portland, OR., Audrey Hershberger of Portland, OR., Stephanie Shields of Pine, AZ., and brothers Shawn Webb of Hollister, MO., and Kevin Turpening of Las Vegas, NV.  She is preceded in death by her parents Terry Neil Turpening and Donna Stone.
