Kaye Maloy, our beautiful mother, grandmother and best friend found eternal peace on April 30, 2018. She was born April 11, 1942 in Talmage, Kansas to her parents Alfred and Bonnie Gibbs Koelling. She grew up on the farm and attended the local grade school. In 1960 she graduated from Chapman High School. She moved to Hays, Kansas to attend Fort Hays State University where she met Patrick Hines. They were married August 24, 1963 and were blessed with two daughters and a son. In 1987 they moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she began her 30 year career at Banner Desert Hospital enjoying her co-workers which she referred to as her second family. Although she and Patrick went their separate ways, they continued to remain dear friends throughout her life. In the fall of 1988 she met John Maloy. They were married June 11, 1989 and then renewed their vows January 31, 2003. They enjoyed 18 wonderful years together. She is now at peace in Heaven with those she loved that passed before her. Her parents, her step-father; Ivan Steffen and her husband; John. She is survived by her children; Dana Coberly of Clay Center, Kansas, Shari Kelso (Eddy) of Queen Creek, Arizona and Corbin Hines (Elizabeth) of Tempe, Arizona. Grandchildren; Rachelle, Kyle, Shawn and Calla Coberly of Clay Center, Kansas, Jordan Thompson of Lakewood, Colorado; Logan Kelso and Ivan Cisneros of Queen Creek, Arizona; Casey, Cayman and Jayce Hines of Tempe, Arizona. Great-grandchildren; Murron, Soren, Killian and one on the way. She is also survived by a multitude of friends. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS. Inurnment will follow at Greenridge Cemetery, Industry, KS. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 25 from 3-8 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. Memorial contribution may be made to the Kaye Maloy Memorial fund and sent to the funeral home, 918 7th St, Clay Center, KS 67432. She dearly loved life and always left everyone with a kind word and a smile on their face!
