Kayle K. Sears, 74, passed away at his home on August 20, 2011 in Omaha. Kayle was born on July 2, 1937 in Oak Hill and he attended school and church in the Oak Hill community before moving to Clay Center with his family in 1953. In 1954, Kayle enlisted in the Air Force and served as an equipment repairman and studied jet engine mechanics. He was honorably discharged in 1958.
Kayle held a variety of occupations in the Clay Center area and upon his retirement, he practiced his carpentry skills on a number of projects in and around the community. He moved to Omaha in 2008 to be close to his daughter, Trudy and her husband, Ted Pankonin, his grandson, James and two great granddaughters, Olyvia and Malyia.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel, Clay Center.
Inurnment will be at the Rose Meron Cemetery, Clay County. Please join us as we honor our loved at this service.
