Kenneth Hensel

KENNETH L. "KEN" HENSEL died August 9, 2007 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age of 66. Ken was born on July 19, 1941 in Ottumwa, Iowa the son of M. Clinton , Sr. and Mary E(Leon) Hensel. Ken graduated from Washington High School in 1959. He received a Bachleor's Degree from Drake University and his Master's Degree in Business from the University of Missouri. On June 5, 1970, Ken married June Chalupa in Washington, Iowa, she preceded him in death in 1990. He served in the United States Air Force and was a corporate accountant for several companies in Iowa, Alabama, Texas, and Kansas. Survivors include: Daughter: Susan Hensel, Manhattan, KS Son: Dan and his wife, Deb Fenn, Waterville, IA Brother: Mark C. Jr. and his wife, Dot Hensel, Arlington, TX Brother: Fred and his wife, Deb Hensel, Washington, IA Grandchildren: Two Grandchildren Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 10:00 am at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa.(Beatty Funeral Home, Washington, IA is in charge of service arrangements) Officiating the service will be Pastor Julie Poulsen. Respect Calls will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Big Lakes Development Center of Manhattan, Kansas in care of the funeral home.
