Kenneth E Savener

KENNETH E. SAVENER died August 18, 2011 at 1815 3rd St, Clay Center, KS at the age of 65.He was born on October 1, 1945 in Clay Center Kansas, the son of Laurence and Elsie (Carlson) Savener. Ken attended Swedsburg Country School and graduated from CCCHS. He served in the Army National Guard and farmed in the Swedesburg community. Ken married Reta Jensen on September 2, 1967. They made their home on the family farm until moving to Clay Center in 2006. He was a member of the Elks Club and Country club, both of Clay Center and the Clifton American Legion. Ken is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Darlene Marsh and Dorothy Worley Survivors include: Wife: Reta Savener, Clay Center, KS Son: Chris and wife Jen Savener, Mahomit, IL Son: Phil and wife Jody Savener, Clay Center, KS Brother: Larry and wife Joyce Savener, Clay Center, KS Sister: D'Anna McMahan, Wichita, KS Grandchildren: Dominic, MaKenna and Kirby Savener Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Meadowlark Hospice or Clay County Hospital Foundation c/o the funeral home
