Kurt Louis Erickson

KURT LOUIS ERICKSON died June 5, 2013 at his home in Clay Center, KS at the age of 28. He was born on January 25, 1985 in Davenport, IA the son of Kent Erickson and Kathy Heins. Kurt was raised in Clay Center. He attended Hillsdale College in Michigan where he worked as an I.T. Tech. He was a National Merit Commended Scholar. He then attended University of Kansas. Kurt was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and Boy Scouts of America. He also performed with the Community Orchestra and was a talented pianist. He is preceded by his grandmother, Janice Heins, grandfather, Walter Erickson and uncle, William Heins. Survivors include: Parents: Kent and Kathy Erickson, Clay Center, KS Brother: Mark Erickson, Lawrence, KS Sister: Lisa Erickson, Lawrence, KS Brother: Greg Erickson, Manhattan, KS Sister: Kate Erickson, Clay Center, KS Grandmother: Marjorie Erickson, Madison, KS Grandfather: Robert L. Heins, Lincoln, NE Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 10 from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
