Kyle Andrew Affolter, 34 died March 24, 2026, in Brownwood, TX. He was born on February 4, 1992, in Pittsburg, KS and adopted by David B. and Cindy Affolter on February 5, 1992. Kyle was raised on the family farm southwest of Morganville. He attended school in Morganville and Clay Center and was a Class of 2010 graduate from Clay Center Community High School. Kyle received an Electronic Engineering Technician degree from North Central Kansas Technical College. He worked for Superior Essex in Hosington, KS from 2012-2017 and then Superior Essex in Brownwood, TX from 2017 to present as a supervisor of robotic engineering. Kyle married Amy Stanfield on September 19, 2015. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center.

Kyle was a happy, outgoing person, a hard worker, kind and always willing to help anyone. He enjoyed playing his many guitars, some that he built himself. He loved technology and computers. He would repair computers and built several from scratch. Kyle enjoyed riding his motorcycle but gave it up after his daughter was born. Family was his main priority, and he loved being a father. Chelsea adored him and he was so patient with her. He will be greatly missed by many. Kyle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don Forssberg, Don and Marilyn Affolter; niece, Brielle Affolter.

Brother: Nathan (Laurel), their children Bronson and Maddox

Brother: Ryan (Megan) their son Beau

Grandmother: Leora Forssberg

Father/Mother-in-law: Link and Becky Stanfield

Sisters-in-law: Shannon, Amber and Heather and their families

Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center.

Rev. Scott Lingle is officiating

Inurnment will be in Bloom Cemetery, Clay County, KS and held at a later date

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church. On the memo line, please note if the donation is to the Chelsea Affolter education fund or First Presbyterian Church. All memorials should be mailed to the First Presbyterian Church, 602 Clarke St, Clay Center KS 67432
