Larry Carlson, 82 died July 17, 2019 at his residence in Clay Center, KS. He was born on March 23, 1937 in Clay Center, the son of Raymond and Emily (Langerhr) Carlson. Larry was raised in Clay Center. Following graduation, he served in the US Navy. Larry married Sharon Sanberg on February 26, 1960. He worked at Kansas State University for 42 years. In 1985, Larry was named KSU Classified Employee of the year. Following retirement, he worked part-time at Gibson’s. Larry was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church and was a founding member of the Clay Center BPOE where he served in all the chairs and on the Board of Directors. He enjoyed his bass boat and fishing with his father and sons. Larry was very proud of his sons as they picked aviation as careers and enjoyed working on planes with them. He was preceded in death by his parents.
