LAURENCE F. CONROW, 95 died April 3, 2014 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka, KS. He was born on June 25, 1918 in Clay County, KS. The son of George and Margaret (McNeil) Conrow.
Laurence was the third generation of Conrow family to graduate from Sunny Slope Grade School and Wakefield High School. His children were the fourth generation. He married Roberta lee Randle on June 30, 1944 and they were happily married for 65 years until her passing on October 28, 2009.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps were he co-piloted a B17 Bomber for 27 missions. He returned home and began farming career with his father near Wakefield, Ks.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he and Roberta attended K.S.U. basketball games for many years, playing cards and visiting with friends at the Farmers Coop. After retiring from farming, Laurence and Roberta travelled throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. He is also precededin death by sisters, Alta Clark and Alice Luthi, and a brother, Alvin Conrow.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 1:30PM at the Madura Congregational Church in Wakefield, KS
Officiating the service will be Rev. Todd Britt
Burial will be in theHighland Cemetery, Wakefield, KS
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2-5PM at Wakefield Funeral Home
Memorials: may be made to the Wakefield Museum Sunny Slope School Fund or to the Wakefield Library and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
