Lavonne Heath

LAVONNE HEATH died December 26, 2008 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 96. She was born on January 25, 1912 in Palmer, Kansas the daughter of August Schurr and Iva Rankin. She was raised in the Ladysmith Community in Clay County and taught in rural school following high school. She married Floyd Heath on June 9, 1937 in Palmer. They moved to Wichita in 1950. Floyd preceded her in death on February 13, 1980. She moved to Manhattan in 1982 and to Clay Center in 2000. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star in Wichita, Manhattan and Clay Center and a member of the Delta-Omega Club in Manhattan. She is also preceded by 4 sisters. Survivors include: Sister: Cleo Klocke, Manhattan, KS Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Meadowlark Hospice c/o the funeral home
