Lawrence Koch

LAWRENCE F. KOCH died November 10, 2008 at Presbyterian Manor, Clay Center, KS at the age of 90. He was born on March 11, 1918 in Clay County, Kansas the son of Herman Koch and Lena Spilker. Lawrence farmed until entering the service. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Edna Burger on December 18, 1946, she survives of the home. He returned to farming following the war, retiring in 1981. He worked part time for Noffsinger Veterinary Clinic. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Kiwanis Club and Farm Bureau. He is preceded in death by a son, James, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include: Wife: Edna Koch, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Larell Ann Hougen, Kansas City, MO Son: Thomas Koch, Clay Center, KS Brother: Alvin Koch, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 1 granddaughter Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Paul Tessaro. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
