Leeland M. Crawford

LEELAND M. CRAWFORD died July 1, 2009 at St. Francis Hosptial, Topeka, KS at the age of 71. LEELAND M. CRAWFORD was born on December 6, 1937 in Clay Center Kansas, the son of George R. Crawford and Lottie Mae Bergman. He grew up and attended schools in Clay Center. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Darlene Chaput in October of 1957 and they divorced in 1974. He then married Lillian Brown Stutz in March of 1977 and she preceded him in death in January of 2008. He was a self employed construction contractor and an avid outdoorsman. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and Lucky Crawford. Survivors include: Son: Robert and wife, Cheryl Crawford, Clyde, KS Son: Randy and wife Lori Lalouette Crawford, Marion, KS Daughter: Janet and husband Robert Craft, Marion, KS Grandchildren: 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild Brother: Loun Crawford, Clay Center, KS Brother: Lawrence Crawford, Clay Center, KS Brother: Lowell Crawford, Clay Center, KS Brother: Mickey Crawford, Clay Center, KS Sister: Lois Lee, CA Sister: Lela Eye, MO Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Gerald Martin. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS. Visitation will be held from 3-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks in care of the funeral home.
