Lela Burkman

LELA ARLENE BURKMAN died August 8, 2008 at Medicalodge, Clay Center, KS at the age of 87. She was born on April 18, 1921 in Garrison, KS the Daughter of Charley Fronce and Bessie Mae Lutz. She was raised in the Garrison, Kansas area. She was married to Aldo Burkman on July 24, 1940 and he preceded her on May 6, 2008. They farmed near Garrison, Kansas and in Clay County, Kansas. They moved to Clay Center where she worked for the Clay Center Presbyterian Manor for 17 years. She was a member of the Clay Center United Methodist Church. She is also preceded by a infant son and 1 sister. Survivors include: Daughter: Judy and husband Mike Williams, Clay Center, KS Daughter: Mary Sue and husband Jim Wade, Colorado Springs, CO Son: Gene and wife Jane Burkman, Loveland, CO Grandchildren: 6 Grand and 6 Great-grand Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Larry Myers. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13th from Noon until service time at the Clay Center United Methodist Church Memorials can be made to United Methodist Church c/o the funeral home
