Leland LeRoy Anderson, 89 died October 19, 2009 at Covenant Village of Colorado, Westminster, CO. He was born on February 9, 1920 in Clay County, KS the son of Eber and Ida (Stenstrom) Anderson. He was raised in the Garfield Center community in Clay County, KS. He graduated from Clay Center Community High School in 1936 and graduated from
Central Business College in Kansas City. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railroad until attending North Park College in Chicago, IL. and was ordained a
minister in 1945. He married Alene M. Collini on September 14, 1945 and she survives of the home. In 1946 they went to the Belgian Congo as missionaries,
returning to the U.S.A. and attending and graduating from Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS in 1950. They returned to the Belgian Congo in the mission field
and then returned to Clay Center, KS in 1975 after 30 years of service. He was pastor of the Clay Center and Alert Covenant Churches retiring in 1985. He
then was chaplain for the Clay Center Presbyterian Manor for 8 years. In 1996 he and his wife moved to Covenant Village of Colorado, Westminster, CO.. He
was preceded by his parents and 2 brothers.

Funeral Services: Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Clay Center, Kansas.
