Leo Nichols

LEO NICHOLS died December 10, 2010 at his residence , Longford, KS at the age of 70. Leo was born on July 4, 1940 in Longford Kansas, the son of Lloyd Nichols and Edna Bach. Leo was raised in Longford and graduated from Longford High School. He married Donna Jean Davidson on April 21, 1963 and she survives. Leo worked as a custom harvester with his family and then he farmed and ranched in the Longford area. He was a member of the Longford United Methodist Church, the Ottawa County Farm Bureau, the DSO Board, and he was very active with the Longford Rodeo Association. Leo was preceded in death by an infant son, David Leo Nichols. Survivors include: Wife: Donna Jean Nichols, Longford, KS Son: Dustin and his wife, Jennie Nichols, Longford, KS Son: Darren and his wife, Crystal Nichols, Wells, KS Grandchildren: 5 Grand and 3 Step Grand Parents: Lloyd and Edna Nichols, Longford, KS Brother: Lonny and his wife, Carol Nichols, Longford, KS Brother: Loran and his wife, Sharon Nichols, Longford, KS Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Longford United Methodist Church in Longford, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Larry Brock. Burial will be at the Rose Meron Cemetery, Clay County, KS.
