Leona Carlson

LEONA E. CARLSON died May 27, 2010 at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS at the age of 84. LEONA E. CARLSON was born on February 9, 1926 in Palmer Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Clara (Blanken) Ohlde. She worked in a doctor's office and bank before her marriage to Stanley Carlson on November 5, 1950 in Palmer. He preceded her on January 22, 1990. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Palmer, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of Tabitha, The Lutheran Woman's Missionary League. She also served as a 4H Leader. She is also preceded by an infant daughter, Joan and sister. Survivors include: Daughter: Debra and husband Tim Ohlde, Clyde, KS Sister: Elfrieda Lohmeyer, Palmer, KS Grandchildren: 3 Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2:30 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church in Palmer, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Gene Holtorf. Burial will be at the St. John Cemetery, Palmer, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 28 from 3-8pm with family greeting friends from 7-8pm at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home.
