Leonard R. Edwards, Jr.

LEONARD R. EDWARDS,JR. died August 8, 2008 at Geary Community Hospital, Junction City, KS at the age of 43. He was born on November 27, 1964 in Tinker AFB, Oklahoma the son of Leonard R. Edwards, Sr and Doris Elsie Linthicum. Leonard graduated from Bellevue West High School in Bellevue, NE. He attended Southwestern Community College. He worked as a janitor at Graceland University in Lamoni, IA for five years. He moved to Jefferson, IA and worked at Menards and then Lowe's for 10 years. He worked at Lowes in Afton, IA for two years before transfering to Lowe's in Salina, KS in May 2008. He married Tonia (Klassen) Hedman on May 31, 2008, she survives of the home. Survivors include: Wife: Tonia Hedman-Edwards, Salina, KS Son: Luke Edwards, Afton, IA Step-Daughter: Destinee Lenay Hedman, Salina, KS Step-Son: Austin Wallis Hedman, Salina, KS Step-Son: Gabriel William Hedman, Salina, KS Step-Son: Samuel Lakin Hedman, Salina, KS Brother: Michael Edwards, Lamoni, IA Brother: Steve Edwards, Lamoni, IA Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 2:00PM at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor David McCowan. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to Leonard Edward, Jr. memorial fund c/o the funeral home to be designated later.
