Leota Fessenden passed away January 3, 2021 at Wesley Towers in Hutchinson, KS at the age of 99.

She was born on October 28, 1921 in Clifton, KS, the youngest child of Charles and Catherine (Straub) Wurtz.

She married Dale Fessenden on February 14, 1953 in Concordia, KS. To this union they had two sons, Charles and Craig.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Cecelia Swaim, Daphna Wilson, Lyola Martens, Delbert Wurtz, Leighton Wurtz and infant brother Donald Wurtz.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Fessenden, sons Charles (Jennifer) Fessenden of Almena, KS and Craig (Kay) Fessenden of Houston, TX. Grandchildren Cory (Jennifer) Fessenden, Cathryn (Jeremy) Horn and Regan (Paul) Schupmann. Six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation is planned with a memorial service at a later date due to Covid.
