Letha Mcneil

LETHA ROSE McNEIL died November 16, 2010, at Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 83. She was born October 2, 1927, at Browndale, Kansas, the daughter of Amos Bork and Clara Koch. Letha was raised in the Browndale, Idana, Kansas area and graduated from Miltonvale High School . She married Ross McNeil on August 17, 1948. He preceded her in death in June of 1988. They made their home on the farm. Letha was a school teacher for 26 years and a loyal employee of Medicalodge of Clay Center, Kansas, for over 20 years. She was also preceded by one brother, Stanley Bork. Survivors include: Daughter: Tam Sortet and husband, Tim Sortet, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Son: Ty McNeil and wife, Deb McNeil, Clay Center, Kansas. Son: Tim McNeil and wife, Pam McNeil, Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and one granddaughter-in-law. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at 10:00 AM at the Idana Presbyterian Church in Idana, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers. Burial will be at the Lincoln Cemetery north of Idana, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010, from 3-8 PM with the family greeting community from 4-6 PM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the Idana Presbyterian Church, Idana, Kansas, or to Meadowlark Hospice, Clay Center, Kansas, and sent in care of the funeral home.
