LINDA ANN GURIK died October 29, 2010 at , Wakefield, KS at the age of 62. She was born on April 15, 1948 in Saratoga Springs NY, the daughter of Edgar and Helen (Cronan) Sluyter. She made her home in Germany and Ft. Riley. She married Gene Gurik on May 16, 1969 and he survives for the home. She worked at the Civilian Personnel Office at Ft. Riley until her retirement. She is preceded by her parents. Survivors include: Husband: Gene Gurik, Wakefield, KS Daughter: Tara and husband Robert McIntire, Wakefield, KS Daughter: Kelly and husband Sam Cobb, Ozawkie, KS Son: Nicholas Gurik, Wakefield, KS Sister: Karen Maningas, Corinth, NY Sister: Susan Sluyter, NC Brother: Kevin Sluyter, IN Grandchildren: 3 Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Wakefield Chapel in Wakefield, Kansas. Burial will be at the Timber Creek Cemetery, Wakefield, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3 from 9am until service time at the Wakefield Chapel. Memorials can be made to Wakefield Arboretum c/o funeral home.
