Lloyd Nemnich, 96 of Clay Center, died June 7, 2016 at Medicalodge in Clay Center. He was born March 15, 1920 in Clay Center, the son of Meryl and Edna (Roenigk) Nemnich. Lloyd was raised in Bloom township and graduated from CCCHS in 1937. He served in the US Army during WWII where her received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Lloyd married Maxine Kaiser on April 30, 1943. Following the war, he farmed in Bloom township. Maxine preceded him in death on November 3, 2013. Lloyd was a member the First Baptist Church, life member of the V.F.W. and served on many boards in the church and the community. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marla Kay Nemnich and 2 brothers.
