LLOYD NICHOLS, 97 died February 1, 2014 at Holiday Resort of Salina in Salina, KS. He was born on March 12, 1916 in Osage County, KS. The son of Morton and Mabel (Michaels) Nichols. Lloyd attended school in the Manchester community. He married Edna Bach on May 31, 1939. They made their home and farmed in the Longford Community. Lloyd also worked as a custom harvester for 40 years and helped the Civilian Conservation Corps construct Clinton Lake. He was a member of the Longford United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Longford Rodeo Club. He is preceded in death by wife, Edna, son, Leo, 3 brothers, Clayton, James and Cloyce, sister, Beulah Turner and a grandson. Survivors: Son: Loran and wife Sharon Nichols, Longford, KS Son: Lonny and wife Carol Nichols, Longford, KS Daughter in Law: Donna Nichols, Longford, KS 9 Grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren Brother: Wayne and wife Lois Nichols, Salina, KS Sister: Florence Lehman, Salina, KS Sister: Betty and husband Harold Smith, Ellsworth, KS Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Longford United Methodist Church in Longford, KS Officiating the service will be Pastor Susan Evans Burial will be in the Rose Meron, Clay County, KS Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 9:30 AM until service time at the Longford United Methodist Church Memorials: Longford United Methodist Church c/o the funeral home
