Name: LLOYD ROBERT OLSON, 87 died March 22, 2013 at the Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS. He was born June 15, 1925 in Clay County, Kansas, the son of Emil and Hedvig (Carlson) Olson.
Lloyd was raised on the family farm in the Morganville, Ks. area. He
graduated from Morganville High School in 1943. He enlisted in the Army
Air Corps after high school and was a ball turret gunner on a B17 during
WWII. He married Alta James on August 5, 1951 and they farmed in the
Morganville area all their lives. Alta survives of the home. He was a
lifetime member of Swedesburg First Lutheran Church and was on the church
cemetery board and he served on the Water District #1 Board. He was able
to be a part of the WWII Honor Flight in 2009. He was preceded in death by
his parents, brother Emmett Olson and a niece Brenda Nelson.

Brother: Leon Olson, Clay Center, KS
Brother: Eugene Olson, Salina, KS
Memorial Services will be Monday, March 25, 2013 at 10:30AM at the Swedesburg
First Lutheran Church in Clay County Kansas.
Officiating the service will be Pastor Tom Sahl
Inurnment will be in the Swedesburg First Lutheran Cemetery with military honors.
There will be no visitation
