Lois Asp

LOIS FLORINE ASP died March 30, 2012 at Mercy Regional Health Center, Manhattan, KS at the age of 86. She was born on January 5, 1926 in Clay County, KS the daughter of Robert and Neddy (Schmale) Adams. Lois married Orville Asp on July 30, 1947. She worked as a cook for USD 379 for 23 years, retiring in 1991. Orville preceded her in death on August 20, 1973. Lois was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, Green Community Center and V.F.W. Auxiliary. She is also preceded in death by a son, Robert, a daughter Shelly, a sister, a brother and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include: Daughter: Kim and husband Stanley Fry, Green, KS Daughter: Linda and husband Roland Mays, Ordway, CO Sister: Wava and husband Arlo Peterson, Leonardville, KS 4 Grandchildren & 3 Great-grandchildren Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Clay Center, Kansas . Officiating the service will be Rev Susan Sawyer. Burial will be at the St. John Cemetery, Clay County, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home Memorials can be made to the Lois Asp memorial fund to be designated later c/o the funeral home
