Lois Chapman

LOIS A. CHAPMAN, 96 died April 4, 2015 at Park Villa Nursing Home in Clyde, KS. She was born on August 29, 1918 in Miltonvlae, KS, the daughter of William and Irene (King) Millard. Lois married W. Emerson Chapman on September 5, 1942. They made their home in Massachusetts, New York, Indiana and Kansas serving the churches where Emerson was appointed. Lois was an elementary teacher during this time. She taught for 25 years in the public school system and at the Miltonvale Christian School. Emerson preceded Lois in death on June 19, 1999. She was a member of the Bible Methodist Church in Miltonvale. Lois was also preceded in death by daughter, Marcia Berg and her parents. Survivors: Daughter: Barbara Contreras, Miltonvale, KS 4 Grandchildren, 4 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-grandchildren Sister: LaVonne Poe, IN Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Bible Methodist Church in Miltonvale, KS Burial will be in the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, KS Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Phelps Funeral Home Memorials: Miltonvale Bible Methodist Youth and Children's Outreach
