Lois Gilmore died October 23, 2009 at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center, KS at the age
of 85. Lois was born on November 21, 1923 in Belpre, Kansas the daughter of Orvil Dewey and
Emma Lee (Bridges) Clark.
She grew up and attended schools in Belpre, Kansas. She married Merwin Gilmore on
December 5, 1944. She worked for Boeing during WWII. The couple moved to Clay Center in
1956 and Merwin preceded her in death on October 10, 1978. She was a homemaker. She was
also preceded in death by a grandson, her twin brother, and three sisters.

Son: Keith and his wife, Barb Gilmore, Clay Center, KS
Daughter: Marcia and her husband, Jerry Schooley, Kasilof, AK
Daughter: Cheryl and her husband, Ed Butterfield, Estacada, OR
Brother: Walt Clark, Herington, KS
Six grandchildren and Seven Great grandchildren
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 11:00AM at the
Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel.
Officiating the service will be Mr. Walt Clark.
Inurnment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas.
Visitation will be held on will be held from 3-8PM Monday, October 26, 2009 at the funeral
home.

funeral home.
