Lon Dean Colton

LON D. COLTON, 62 died May 29, 2015 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, KS. He was born on January 29, 1953 in Concordia, KS, the son of James and Delma Jeane (Heald) Colton. Lon was raised in the Miltonvale and Oak Hill areas. He graduated from CCCHS in 1971. Lon attended Cloud County Community College and worked for Hutchinson Manufacturing and Gilmore Tatge before farming in the Oak Hill area. He was a member of the Miltonvale Christian Church, Ottawa County Soil Conservation District Board of Supervisors and the Longford Rural Water District Board. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Wife: Karen Colton, Clay Center, KS Son: Mark and wife Robyne Colton, Oak Hill, KS Son: Daniel Colton, Salina, KS Son: Ethan Vinson, Salina, KS Daughter: Kayla Vinson, Topeka, KS 2 Grandchildren, Makayla and Mylo Sister: Glenda and husband Bob Strange, Garland, TX Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:30AM at the Miltonvale Christian Church in Miltonvale, KS Burial will be in the Miltonvale Cemetery, Miltonvale, KS Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 5-7PM at Phelps Funeral Home Memorials: may be made to the Coachlight Community Restaurant in Longford.
