HOWARD LOWELL ROBERTS died June 20, 2012 at Via Christi St Francis, Wichita, KS at the age of 78. He was born on November 8, 1933 in Clay County Kansas, the son of Harry Roberts and Ethel Mae Shephard. Lowell attended Centennial country school and graduated from CCCHS in 1952. He married Betty Rothfuss on September 26, 1954. They owned a dairy farm near Idana until Lowell joined the Air Force in 1956. They returned to Clay Center in 1960. Lowell worked full time as a lineman for C&W Rural Electric for 38 years until he retired. Lowell was a member of the First Baptist Church and worked as a volunteer at church, American Red Cross blood drives, the Lighthouse for Christ and at the Presbyterian Manor. He is preceded in death by a brother Orville and a sister Rosetta Brown. Survivors include: Wife: Betty Roberts, Wichita, KS Daughter: Sherry and husband Jim Copenhaver, Wichita, KS Daughter: Jan Roberts, Wichita, KS Sister in Law: Barbara Roberts, Clay Center, KS Grandchildren: 4 Grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Clay Center, Kansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Bob Hanthorn. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas. Visitation will be held on 2-5PM Sunday at the fuenral home Memorials can be made to American Heart Assn. c/o the funeral home
