Loyd K. Patterson

Loyd “Kenny” Patterson, 77 of Clay Center, died Monday, January 9, 2023 at his residence.  He was born January 20, 1945 in Clay Center, Kansas, the son of Loyd K. and Juanita (Kretz) Patterson.

Kenny grew up in Clay Center and graduated from CCCHS in 1963.  He served in the Kansas National Guard.  Kenny owned his own bulldozer business until 1984.  He then worked on the road crew for KDOT until his retirement in 2002. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia “Patty”; parents and sister, Karen Patterson.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Fisher of Hutchinson, Kansas; daughter, Kathy Patterson and Doug Kyser of Austin, Texas; 2 grandsons; 1 great grandson and sister, Jan Dick of Topeka, Kansas.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 10:30AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, Kansas.

Inurnment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to the Clay County Health Department – In Home Services and can be sent c/o the funeral home.
