Hattie Luella Van Scoyoc, 92, passed away on Sunday, January 14th, 2018. She was born May 20, 1925 to Orville and Hattie Marie (Benjamin) May in Clay Center, KS. Luella was raised in the Clay Center community and graduated from Clay Center High School in 1943. She married Dan Sipp on September 16, 1943. They had a son Terry Sipp. She later married Wendell Van Scoyoc on November 11, 1950. Together, they welcomed son, Mike Van Scoyoc. They farmed in the Miltonvale community for many years. Luella was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Wendell. “Van”, as she referred to him, remained in her heart for the rest of her days. Luella is survived by her sons, Terry Sipp of Longford and Mike (Mary) Van Scoyoc of Little Rock, AK.; her brother, Howard May; her sister Betty (Al) Peck; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, niece, nephews and extended family.
